There are two “Gluten Free Vodkas” to say “about” to here. The first is the subject of, and the production of, and the topic that is “Gluten Free Vodkas”. The second is just this little ol’ website.
On the first: Gluten Free Vodkas are a big “controversy”, we might say, in the world today. First off, even the term “gluten free” has a bit of a controversy to it. Since gluten intolerance has truly ‘exploded’ in the last decade, it seems hard for some to not consider it a bit “ghostly” of a problem. Add to this the idea that one would need to look up the gluten levels of alcohol, let alone a specific alcohol. “Distilling gets rid of the gluten!” they say. “A potato and a bottle have nothing in common!” And for those who don’t have to worry about gluten-free living, and would never think about ordering a gluten free vodka … this makes perfect sense.
Still, there are those out there who have to consider their gluten intake as carefully as possible, in order to avoid some really disturbing symptoms: intestinal/digestive troubles, horrible skin outbreaks, and even nerve pain. Because of these terrible complications, these people do not want to even come close to drinking or eating gluten — and so they need information about gluten free brands in nearly every area of food or drink. Even Vodka. For them, our website exists, to hopefully shed a little light on Gluten Free Vodka brands like Star and Tito. Hopefully it helps ease the mind and keep the body healthy.
For that other type of “about”, this website was started in 2011 by me, David Morehouse. I’m a suffer of celiac disease and I’m hoping that this website can give those of you out there with similar intolerances to get out and live life. Take a look through our articles and the site in general and hopefully you’ll find something to help you have a restful, gluten free vodka good time!
